Bryan Ferry
Andy MacKay
Phil Manzanera
Paul Thompson
Brian Eno
Eddie Jobson
Graham Simpson
John Gustafson

Seems like a good, list. But given all the revolving bass players, why Kenton and Simpson and not Tibbs, Maida, Porter, and Wills?

I guess it's Graham Simpson & John Gustafson nominated as Graham played on the first Roxy release, [and artists qualify to be nominated for induction 25 years after their FIRST release, 1997 of course in Roxy's case], so all 6 members on that album are recognised and John Gustafson played on 3 albums, so a significant contribution.

They have to draw the line somewhere. I'm sure plenty of members/contributors to other bands have missed out. Going back, they would have spent all evening just handing out the awards to the various members of 'Yes' if they had all been inducted.

This is welcome news and indeed well deserved! The RRHF is to be congratulated on getting it right!!! Especially because this was the first time that RM had been nominated...

Now the question is: What band members will show up at the induction gig? Certainly the Core Four will be there, but Eno is a question mark given his idiosyncratic way of relating to his Roxy origins. If he does show up he'll certainly draw much media attention...

And will Eddie J make the scene? Hmm. I wonder...
