At first : WS2 will be disappointed. Bryan had put on his Engelbert Humperdinck Jacket ...
review: Ferry handled all speaking duties for Roxy Music, giving a short speech that focused on those who were not there. "Honor", "Ferry said before mentioning Brian Eno and other former bandmates.
Then came Roxy's semi-reunion with Bryan Ferry, Andy Mackay, and Phil Manzanera taking the stage together for the first time since 2014. The band played and played .... and played.
Roxy Music opened with "Every Dream Home A Heartache." Backed by green lights, Ferry's words bordered on indecipherable. Manzanera's piercing guitar, things started to take shape. The night was not Ferry's best showing vocally, but the singer's conviction never wavered. It helped that Manzanera and the backing band stay on "Out of the Blue."
Of course, before the night could end, Roxy Music broke into its most well-known tune “Love Is The Drug.” But things didn’t end there, even if they should have.

I have been trying to work this one out, Jerry.
Rolling Stone reports set list as :- Dreamhome Out of the Blue LITD More Than This Editions of You
However, there is a clip on YouTube of Avalon also being performed. Maybe that was an encore from the guys before they signed out?

Roxy wrote: In Every Dreamhome a Heartache Out of the Blue Love is the Drug More Than This Avalon Editions of You Thanks, Roxy. That order of service makes much more sense. Having now had my mandatory 2 cups of coffee I have checked Rolling Stone again and they do mention Avalon...but in too oblique a manner for it to have registered with me at silly o’clock on a Saturday morning Anyway, that set-list is much more than we could have hoped for - so a bit of a treat for VRM members in attendance. PS - I thought that The Duran Duran guys gave a very fitting presentation speech. I am sure that they must have been a bit embarrassed to be doing so though, as Roxy should have been members long before Duran Duran even became eligible for consideration.

Given the vagaries of "cell-phone videos" the performances sound OK, although BF's vocals seem a bit limited. The crowd certainly seemed very appreciative of their set!
Sad that TGPT wasn't there to join in the festivities.
If BF wanted to, it would be very easy to stage a Roxy tour (minus TGPT). But unless they decided to really do something new, there would be little reason to get excited about such a prospect. Of course, BF has been steadfast in his resistance to any notion of a Roxy Reunion (beyond the RRHOF gig) so the issue is moot...

well I am glad I went. EJ solo on OOB was worth the price of admission. Given the lack of playing by RadioHead, gave RM the chance to play 6, twice the number almost all other performers have ever played at these events. Good to see PM and AM on stage with BF again. Both played great as usual, not sure AM needed the note for note backup of Jorja C. BF voice as we all have written for years is completely gone, energy level running low as well.Great crowd response. From where I was sitting hard to tell who they all were sitting with at main floor table, can't imagine the social dynamics were great. Sad to see that PM nor AM were not allowed to speak during the induction, nor did the body chemistry seem that good among PM and BF. Was glad to hear the call out for Sped, well deserved. Earlier in the evening as I was walking in I did catch PM and AM on "red carpet" laughing it up and posing for pics. Also saw EJ stop for a quick pose. Never saw BF. Really a shame that TGPT nor Eno made the trip, made it easier for BF to insert his band. On the prospects of them ever playing together again, no way. The BF touring band is what we get. Including the well worn jacket ! Speaking of clothes, AM the 3 piece green plaid ?? Oh well...VIVA ROXY MUSIC.
