I’ve just been watching the long clip from the opening of the Washington DC show.
I’m almost certain that Andy’s playing a Cor Anglais in Out of the Blue, to accommodate the key change.
He definitely played Cor Anglais on the Christmas album by the Players (In the Bleak Midwinter - possibly the musical high point of the album), but my question is “Is this the first time he’s played Cor Anglais with Roxy Music?”

I think it's twofold; the lower pitch, but also I can't help but think that the cor anglais is easier on the fingers unlike the oboe which is torture!!!
Andy's credited with cor angalis on Resolving Contradictions I'm sure?
With Roxy? Possibly in the studio? But never seen it live.

Slightly off-topic, but I gotta say how amazing it is just to see and hear Andy live, playing the parts we know so well with slight tasteful adjustments. Very sophisticated! I loved his nuanced playing in The Bogus Man. It also helps greatly that the live sound mixing was magnificent.
