My ears are clearly dysfunctional as obviously it's 'Me Oh My' that this resembles, not 'TITN'!

I get Gardner's thoughts on the originality here. There was something in the promo blurb that intrigued me:
"On the one hand, Loose Talk is his first album of new music since 2014’s Avonmore. On the other, little here, from the sounds and shapes of that music, to the uses it gets put to resembles any previous Bryan Ferry album." That phrase - "the uses it gets put to, made me rather curious, and maybe it's a reference to content like this that's being entirely re-purposed. I guess we simply have to await the full album to get a better understanding.

I think this is by far his strangest release to date. Superb that's he's doing something so left of centre. Age holds no barriers for experimentation.

The Bryan Ferry store are doing some great bundles. I went for the CD & green LP plus - these days - the ubiquitous signed print.

Mes Amis,
Encore une fois UKRichard a reason. This has all the hallmarks of a concept and W2 wants to savour the whole enchilada before rushing to judgement. This is so exciting and isn’t the title, ‘Loose Talk’ great ?
Salutations a tous,
W2

Have to say I’m actually liking this by Bryan and can’t wait to hear the full release. It’s so left field from Bryan that it could almost be seen as typical Bryan!
I do have to say the concept of spoken word over music intrigues me. It will be interesting to hear whether each piece is interlinked into telling one big story or if each one is unique in itself.
I always remember thinking San Simeon from the Frantic album was very word talking as opposed to singing.
It’s great to see Bryan still continue making music as he obviously loves to and we love getting a new release. Also very brave to be releasing this completely unique style.
Looking forward to hearing the complete album - have preordered the CD and vinyl package.

Mes Amis,
Scott has posed a very interesting question.

https://superdeluxeedition.com/intervie ... interview/ another fascinating interview with Bryan, mainly about Retrospective but touching on Loose Talk and other matters as well. In which we learn (a) that Bryan thinks of Bete Noire as "a bit of a mess", (b) that live fandangos from here on are unlikely, (c) that they're working their way through the Roxy catalogue on Dolby Atmos but no idea if it will be streaming only and (e) that the 2023 edits on several Retrospective tracks were done for artistic reasons. A very good read.

I get the feeling this will be a listen to it once and never again unfortunately. No idea why Star wouldn't be included. Star was OK. Orchestra is doing nothing for me at all.

I admire that a guy of BFs age is doing random and experimental stuff but I will wait and see if it's something for me.

I'm interested in finding out where this collaboration with AB came from

Cher True2Life,
A huge bravo for posting this - W2 thinks it’s one of, if not the best, interview with our hero that he’s ever read.
Obviously it’s sad but entirely understandable that we may not fandango again but we have things to look forward to.
Salutations,
Windswept.

[quote="True2Life"]https://superdeluxeedition.com/interview/bryan-ferry-the-sde-interview/ another fascinating interview with Bryan:

Postscript:

Fanatical Fandangoists,
Two things that W2 found particularly interesting in this interview were firstly the fact that Bryan Considers his best track on Bete Noire to be ‘WINDSWEPT’ !
Secondly it was delightful to see the solid appreciation from both Rhett and Bryan for the work of the late, great Robert Palmer (RIP).
W2 had always thought that there would be common ground between the two taste tarantulas.
Sadly Robert checked out in 2003 at just 54. Had he lived, W2 is sure he would have continued to create just as Bryan has. He was another true artist. Unfortunately his work following his death has not been well curated !
Salutations a tous,
Windswept

I'm certain I read somewhere that they were unconnected, but can i find it again...? Senior moments abound!
