Hmmm indeed, talk about damning with faint praise! OK, I wasn't at the Newcastle show, just the second Glasgow show and what I experienced there was a glorious night. I didn't see or hear anyone complaining about the lack of a "chuffing encore"- when the band plays "For your pleasure", the last song played on the 2001 shows and leave the stage one by one, does anyone really expect an encore after that? C'mon! PS: his whistle worked perfectly in Glasgow!

RE certain reviews...
What is all this piffle about no hits !! Virginia plain , Streetlife, Love is the drug, Do the strand , Avalon, Pyjamarama, Same old scene , Jealous guy ......... ALL HITS !!! .. I saw them in Glasgow on Friday and it was magnificent .. These fools that want later hits ....i'm imagining Dance Away and Angel eyes .. should understand the complexity of the band that they chose to go and see ! The performances in the glory days of Roxy Music - the mid 70's were all like this - these were the songs !! On Friday night I watched a dull couple in the seats in front of me sitting with their mouths hanging open and dribbling with confusion while all around them knowledgeable fans trembled with excitement . I blame the X factor maself .........
