This week Ferry and his band played a surprise outdoor show in Milan at a rally in support of Berlusconi's candidate for the Mayor.

Because he wanted to - he was quick enough to post Milan pics on facebook. Perhaps he wants an invite to a Bunga Bunga party ...

It's a poor choice. Probably not his, once again.

Yup.. just like it wasn't his choice to dedicate a Roxy lifetime achievement award to his brave son Otis at Q awards ceremony .. This whole sorry spectacle in Milan -Shameless indeed . I'm so glad I didn't buy a ticket for this flat leftovers tour .

Without knowing the full detail about the Italy concert, I think it unwise to jump to conclusions about any political connections.
I would add that I am disappointed with the current set list- I think it was ok to re-visit Roxy songs on the As Time Goes By Tour, but not on this one. We just had a full Roxy tour, why re-cycle these great songs with other musicians? I'm puzzled.
As for the Otis thing, I can forgive him for that and the whole family stance on fox hunting. As a libertarian, I don't like fox hunting, I would chose not to follow it but I wouldn't have banned it either. Far too much political time taken up, when there were more important issues to resolve.
