With the sad passing of Clarence Clements does that leave Andy as the number one rock sax player in the world? IMHO it does without a doubt.

Definitely, no contest. A very sad way to reach no. 1 but I can't think of anyone else now who could possibly claim the title.

As a saxophonist myself, I would argue that The Emperor Himself has always been number one ahead of Springstein's reedman, on the grounds of varying style, instrumentation and experimentation; anyone can blast out 'vanilla' rasping tenor solos song after song, it doesn't show much imagination does it?
