I've always loved his interpretations of soul classics and it's great that ' Hold On I'm Coming' has found it's way onto the Olympia set list. After the tour it would be fabulous if he got back into the studio and sprinkled some Ferry dust on some of the best of Stax, Tamla and Atlantic. I'd love to see him give the Ferryesque treatment to 'Take Me To The River', 'Dock Of The Bay', 'Knock On Wood', to name but three. It would also be interesting to hear him duet with the likes of Corine Bailey Rae ('Private Number' could be a great vehicle). Do any of you ageing hipsters share this dream and what would you like to see him interpret? Windswept.

I lkie a lot of Bryan's versions of old favourites. But, to me, his voice doesn't seem to suit 60s Soul. Sam & Dave, Otis, Four Tops, Wison Pickett sang with so much energy that Bryan pales in comparison. May just be me though !

You probably already know that Take Me To The River was recorded for The Bride Stripped Bare album...

I think his version of Let's Stick Together is better than the original.
