Genuine thanks for posting this link- but I'm afraid it serves a useful reminder of why I haven't listened to this track in a long long time...

Hey Bob,
Were you alive when this album came out?
Were you a youngster? I want to know.
If you're only a feel-good fan of Roxy, then I doubt you were of age to capture the spirit of this album, which I love.
And that's every freaking song!
I'm a true fan of Roxy, I don't whine about not liking this song or not liking that song or not liking this album or not liking that album.
I LOVE 'EM ALL!
Lemme know if you were around in '78.

'You don't have to like EVERY song to be a true fan. It's all about personal taste. Along with the good stuff, Bryan's churned out some bad. Trash was a dreadful song. Lots of people don't like Flesh + Blood and Avalon.Lots do. I don't like Cry Cry Cry. My Little Girl, Four Letter Love, Would You Believe, Bitters End, Bogus Man, For Your Pleasure, Bitter Sweet, Tryptich, Eight Miles High,The Midnight Hour, and a few more ! But I'm still a huge fan.

Lemme know if you were around in '78. Well, as IanS has said, you don't have to like everything to be a true fan. I'm not sure what you mean by "a feel-good fan" and how you can make any supposition about whether I'm the right age to appreciate this track!! Yes, I was around in '78, for what it's worth I was 22 then- does that make not liking this particular song more acceptable? And I don't think expressing an honest opinion about a song counts as "whining" by the way.

Hey boys, Thanks for you opinions. Ian, can't believe you don't like this or don't like that. The songs and albums you listed to me, are great! I am borg, you will be assimilated. LOL! Ian, try this, drop some lsd & listen to The Bogus Man, and get then get back to me, plus also the other songs and albums you mentioned before you come down. Bob, glad you were around when Manifesto came out. I love the whole album. It represented the spirit of the time. If you can't appreciate Bryan's falsetto on Cry, Cry, Cry, not to mention the phaser effect, to me, you're not true fan. Oh yes, you like Roxy Music & Bryan Ferry, granted. You're someone that requires the right audio candy from RM or Bryan to stimulate your sensitive eardrums or you'll cry, cry, cry! LOL!

To me, The Bogus Man is one of the slickest songs ever recorded. Bryan's voice is eerie and ethereal, and the music is so...how can I say? Dramatic & Slick. And that beat! Get clouded, put on your head phones or crank your speakers... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SS-J1tCQwvg
