You speak from the heart Windswept and I feel your pain. A cookie commercial does seem hard to reconcile with the legacy of the man who brought us Dream Home Heartache. I guess the heartache now comes when the cookie jar comes up empty. Oh The Humanity!!!

Oreos are the cookie of choice in smart town apartments.

I tried to track it down, but I couldn't find anything, but I'd swear that some classic Chet Baker track got used in a mainstream commercial a few years back. Does this ring any bells with you? Maybe it was a flower shop commercial (for Valentines Day). Or maybe this just a figment of my imagination...

CB left us with some great music, but it certainly lived a grueling life. May he RIP.

I just saw it on Modern Family. That would give Bryan the biggest audience since the Diana gig. Not to burst anyone's buble but I think it works. And the 100 anniversary birthday cake Oreos are really tasty in a stupid way.

Yes, It was in the UK. I recall having to record it onto a cassette tape :lol:

for a friends daughter as she fell in love with the track from that advert.

Just heard it about 5 minutes ago. It's a natural to use a Bryan Ferry performance for An Oreo Cookie Commerical. The Coolest Performer paired with the Coolest Cookie . Especially here in the States where Bryan isn't well known. Fun to hear. By the way. "As Time Goes By", is one of his best. Others like Rod Stewart trying to give their take on the "Classic" songs of the past pale in comparison to ATGB.
