i agree Uwe with this hypothesis (even though I doubt CG's motives were sinister :) ). I've always thought Colin is/was great at what he does, but have not liked the way he makes Ferry less "Ferry" IMO. eg the Alphaville sessions became Frantic...with all the edges arranged away into oblivion. Colin contributed "ant-ferryness" into the mix. I never liked the influence.

i nevertheless like TJA, but as a curio. And i think bry had some courage to do the thing - certainly not driven by lust for money.
But, as it happens, I'm already listening to it hardly at all, after an initial interest. Positively, is has been posted, it does serve to remind us just how good a ferry melody (eg Reason or Rhyme) can still be.

Well, I finally received my copy and managed to hear the cd today.

I quite like 3-4 tunes, but I believe they missed a chance by not having a couple of longs pieces. E.g. Bogus Man only 2 mins long?!?!?!?

At least Island Earth was 4 min long - best on the album in my opinion.

Well its not bottom in my BF league, just above relegation I suppose.

For me it`s a Colin Good album. I will never buy it.

He used Bryans name and work to represent himself.

On the one side Bryan said : I have a controlling instinct , sometimes being in a band isn`t the best place for me - at the other side he puts all his material available to Colin Good for making that Jazz album.
Is that a controlling instinct ?

For me C.G. has taken a too large place in Bryans work and future, maybe his part should be scrutinized extent to which he is privy to the fact that we never see and hear the 9th Roxy album ???

Mon Ami,
These hallowed cyber halls have always been a broad church but how one can worship our hero without recognising how good Mr.Good is beggars belief!
Wether it be in solo or Roxy guise, Geordie's favourite son has achieved new musical heights since they started working together.
Good & Ferry forever!
Regards,
Windswept
