Merry Hipsters,
Our hero is the subject of this week's "The Journal" interview at http://www.mrporter.com
In addition to wise words from Geordie's favourite son, there are some great shots of him wearing some very Ferryesque attire. Doubtless many male hipsters who frequent this hallowed cyber hall will want to order from Mr.Porter and receive their kit in time for Santa.
For my part, I think the boy is looking great and I'm delighted that his trousers are the correct length and that he appears to have turned his back on fur trimmed Parkas and jihadist scarfs.
Unfortunately for me, I won't be able to participate in the shopathon as Mrs.Windswept has put the brakes on my relationship with Mr.Porter. Indeed, I'm banned from all internet shopping unless, of course, it involves bottega veneta handbags!
In fact, she's told me that the best I can hope for is the cable tennis sweater that Roxysiren posted and which she is currently knitting me. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel because she's promised me a matching "Willy Warmer" as she claims it won't require too much extra wool!
Still playing and loving TJA - isn't it great?
Regards,
Windswept

This is the best forum on Earth. Here I am on business trip in Munich as it happens, one of many business travellers earning a crust away from home... checking out the latest news on vivaroxymusic.com on my "mobile device", lucky enough to read such urbane pearls of wisdom from the cognoscenti. This hilarious post works on so many levels of wit, I can only larf. Thanks dear Windswept.

A couple of important ;) questions were posed in the excellent Mr Porter article, namely the shade of navy used in his suits and the pale blue in shirts. Both questions unanswered satisfactorily. So here's my view on the suit at least: I reckon it's "darkest navy" which is what savile row tailor of renown kilgour call it ( tailors to Fred Estaire and Cary Grant ..the North by North West icon suit,I believe). I think this is a known "colour". although I have no experience with the super elite A&S that Bryan uses a fair bit at the moment , but I nevertheless think that kilgour ain't bad, being on the "correct" side of the Row.
