Just having a little fun and getting pompous and self-righteous. Isn't that what posting on the internet is all about?!?

Mes Amis,
I agree with India, TJA is a jazz album and the fact that it consists of compositions previously recorded in another way doesn't detract from it's credibility. In my mind, it actually enhances it.
Fans of other genres are clearly buying it. That's a good thing and is another testimony to Ferry's capacity to innovate. Personally I think his eclectic tastes and passion for excellence have done more to broaden the appeal of different types of music than just about any other modern artist.
Ultimately all that matters is that those that made it and play it love it and I certainly do.
Despite some ne'er do wells predicting commercial disaster, the tills appear to be ringing and if the boy gets some wonga out of it, good for him. Doubtless his tailor appreciate getting his bill payed!
Regards,
Windswept.

TJA has left the top 100 album chart this week.

I think the main reason for this is lack of stock. Amazon (UK) have been out of stock for over a week now, as have the record stores in my home town of Bristol (presumably due to higher than expected first week sales). Hopefully the record company can get their act together and deliver some new CDs asap!

Hipsters,
This is unbelievable, the great India is 100% correct and what's more, Amazon UK are not back in stock until December 14th.
Sacre Bleu, not only are these idiots not paying their corporation tax - even worse, they are ruining our hero's album launch.
Quel Bordel!
Regards,
Windswept

Now that Amazon (UK) finally have The Jazz Age back in stock, it's good to see that it has gone back up into their top 50 albums (currently number 46) - looks like some last minute Christmas shoppers are going for it!

There is a TV advert now too, it has been on the past two mornings around 8.30.

8-)

That's good. I thought it was already dead and buried.

I do wonder though, whether any momentum can be kept, especially with the tour being planned for late next year.

Happy Christmas.

Great, I look forward to seeing the TV advert. It seems to be having some effect: TJA has now crept up into the Amazon top 40 once again (currently #39).

Good to see TJA back in the UK album chart (82 in the overall chart and 35 in the Record Store Chart). Once again given the time of year it must have shifted a good few thousand copies in the last week, presumably boosted by the TV advert.

I've not seen the advert yet. Can anyone who has tell me what's in it? Is it based on the promo video for Do The Strand?
