Fellow Dilettantes,
After the failure of those GQ reprobates to treat our hero in a remotely respectful manner I can only hope that those who haunt this hallowed cyber hall — together with family, friends and distant acquaintances — are demonstrating style power by boycotting this despicable rag!
Having reflected on these appalling events, one can only conclude that any publication that allows that errant London Mayor, Bozzer "Bullingdon" Johnson, to grace it's cover can't be particularly serious about the sartorial arts?
Ok, our hero has had a couple of much publicised missteps. But, when considered in the round, how could anyone who knows his Berluti from his Todds doubt that Geordie's favourite son is anything other than the most stylish Englishman since Beau Brumel?
Furthermore, unlike other fans, we have never been obliged to dress in a bizarre fashion when attending his gigs and we are proud to salute him as the Cary Grant of Jazz and Rock.
Happily with the Gatsby remake on the horizon and the cocktail trend gathering momentum we will be heralding in another "Jazz Age" with people dressing more appropriately and who knows, it may even be possible to implement a dress code in time for AEWBF? This will allow us to refuse entry to the entire GQ panel!
Together Ferryistas, we can resolve this issue once and for all!
Regards,
Windswept

These polls and awards are a serious waste of time, space and energy. All the music rags are read by ,and aimed at a mainly younger audience , so twats like Liam Gallaghar ,Rhianna , Cheryl Cole, err....James Arthur , etc, etc will win every award around I can remember bands like Queen,Deep Purple, Roxy, Led Zep,etc winning Best band, best drummer, best singer best guitarist, best single, best album, etc in the 70.s,because that was their time. Now,they would win nothing. It's just not their time

I have the feeling that Ian S must be around the same age as myself as when I was young(er) the tw*t word meant "twit" or idiot, nothing more serious than that. :?
