I could not agree more about "Manifesto" That is Roxy Music. At the time, all the hype in the music press for months, pre re-union, was about how will they sound. I remember a reveiw along the lines of "and just when you're not looking, Ferry steps in" Classic Roxy. The re-vamped B side version of Manifesto is Ferry in his fun mode.
I remember that Everett show. Bowie was on it too, wasn't he? I loved the excitement of waiting for Roxy, who performed something brand new that night! I loved it at the time....but when midnight hour came out on the album, it was not quite my same old scene. Ah, but the memories
