Apologies if it's been posted already. He mentions the next album. Click on the heading.

Thanks for posting, Dexter.

I must confess to a slight, if not entirely unexpected, feeling of "here we go again", though...

When first mentioned, it was going to be all brand new stuff and out this spring, then (after the 2013 tour was announced) autumn. Now it appears to be undecided whether it'll be all originals or all covers or a mix; the release date also appears to be less than certain.

I'm sure it will be worth waiting for, but, as ever, get ready for a longer than anticipated wait!

No problem, Smudge. I agree, I'm sure it'll be worth waiting for. I'm hoping for originals, but I'm not averse to the odd cover, too. He does have the knack of practically owning his covers. The only other singer I feel had that particular knack, was none other than Elvis!

If there's no new album out for the autumn what's the point of the tour?

Good point wrighta. It seemed that the point of the tour (announced almost a year in advance) was to promote a new album along with TJA. BF can be hard to figure out...

Bryan and Roxy never seem to maximise opportunities. We may now have a Bryan tour and no new product to promote. TJA is already dead. 2011 saw a Roxy tour and no new product. 2012 saw the release of The Complete Studio Recordings Box set but no tour to promote it. And there's still no sign of a release date for the first Roxy Music Cd Deluxe edition. Maybe that will come out to coincide with the tour ?

BF has stirred a lot of hard feelings during his run, something that gets undercommunicated in all those smooth interviews where everything is rosy. Plus there`s probably no nay-sayers among the women. Phil and Andy are left in the gutter.

Fellow Aficionados,
Surely this is all good news.
A new album on the horizon & AEWBF to boot.
What more could any self respecting Ferryista ask for?
Personally, if it all was very logical and ran in straight lines it would be incredibly boring.
Frankly I think his timing is impeccable. With "The Great Gatsby" on the horizon he's grabbed the zeitgeist and TJA will become an even greater success.
Regards,
Windswept

Thanks for the link.

I hope the new album goes the way of self-penned. An all-covers album would strictly be a spotify download...I wouldn't buy it. And that's from someone who has all of his stuff. I just find his covers uncompelling recently. And, of course, spotify does 320kbps quality
