I suppose you would have to be heavily into Roxy to recognise the name.
Martha Ladly played a couple of "bit parts" in the Roxy cog, around the time of Avalon. A Canadian musician, she was one of the two "Martha's" from Martha and the muffins, as of Echo Beach fame, that supported Roxy on the F/B tour. There the connection began, I would think. She "covered" or mimed, for the high pitch vocal on Avalon, the single, on T.O.T.P. She is the girl wearing the mask, and also on a German television programme, again, standing to the left of Bryan. It's on you tube.
She had previously worked with the late great Billy Mc Kenzie in the Associates, and in particular, on Party Fears Two. Ferry was Billy's inspiration. Full stop. Thereafter, and pre-Roxy, she hooked up with O.M.D., playing and producing.
Now professor Martha Ladly, she is back home in Canada.

Often wondered where the connection came from, and why she was never credited. Would love to be a fly on the wall if Martha and Lucy ever had chat.

I always liked the cut of her jib...whether as a Martha with Muffins or with mask on a video.

I do recall the Muffins supporting on the F+B tour, and liked the light poppiness of their roxylite-esqueness.
