Avondale,
I don't have a problem with the lyrics at all sung by Amy Whinehouse. Love the song, love the album. Just can't connect the lyrics to BF, and as Roxy has pointed out I wonder how BF delivered the opening lines? haha

I suppose time will tell as the tour continues.

Cher Roxy,
I think you have it nailed. Doubtless the A&S senior cutter's hands are bleeding as we speak.
I do hope he's hard at work on an off white shawl collared tux — they only three guys on earth that could wear them were/are Bogey, Ferry and Connery-the rest of us just succeed in looking like ice cream vendors. It would be the perfect rig out for TJA set and would complement the band perfectly.
Beyond that, we have to have "The Flappers". Our hero has form in this area so may be under some sort of domestic restraint but we must insist he breaks free and warms the cockles of this old hipster's heart by giving us a gaggle of swooshers.
From a visual perspective, I think we should have the back drop video playing when the BFO are doing instrumentals and bring "The Flappers" on when we move into vocal mode.
Oh, and whilst I think about it, lets have a great tour brochure that surpasses the excellent ATGB offering.
The set list is perfect!
Regards,
Windswept.
Ps. Come to think of it, I once saw the late, great Bobby Short perform at NYC's Cafe Carlyle and he looked damn cool in an off white tux too, so maybe I'll give it another try, but not for the Brighton gig!

Windswept,

I have given it some thought and wonder if he feels that look has been hijacked by too many young whippersnappers like Bieber, Diddy & Tempah?

Perhaps a slight moderation to the plain white jacket would work. 1920's style tailoring, black or midnight blue shawl collar or piping around the collar and pockets? A burgundy velvet DJ would look good also.

Mon Ami,
I couldn't agree more. His current suit, although very elegant, doesn't give him the contrast he needs with the band and all of your solutions would definitely work albeit if the velvet is too dark it risks the same dilemma.
I'm sure the "Taste Tarantula" will nail this before he hits Blighty but I'm even more keen that he gets those "Flappers" on board together with great set visuals. I think that the more an artist matures and the more stationary they become, the more important it is that the sets are animated and there is a competitive element to this. George Michael's last show was simply spectacular!
Don't get me wrong, our hero is in amazing shape, I wish I could find some of his tablets and he has set the gold standard as the most elegantly ageing hipster. BUT it is important that this sort of show has a strong visual dynamic.
Regards,
Windswept

Hi paraphonix.
BF sang Make You Feel My Love on Jools Holland a few years back. But technically it's a Dylan cover, as he wrote the song.

Quite possibly the Dubai gig he did to launch the Olympia exhibition, I was surprised to see someone like you on the setlist, can't quite remember where I saw it. Not make you feel my love which I know is a Bob Dylan song done by both BF and Adele.

Mes amis,
Thank the good Lord for that!
Actually I was unsure at first but quite like it.
But Roxy, he has not got our memo about the colour scheme or maybe he has and has decided to have a protest?
In any event, we now have a black shirt to go with the black suit and things are starting to look positively funereal.
For heaven's sake A&S get that off white shawl collared tux finished!
Regards,
Windswept

Bryan's version of "Make You Feel My Love". What a missed opportunity that was. Stunning.
