Anyone know why the Fonzi Thornton's voice was replaced with the girl singer for the dancin dancin vocal line on the single release ? Just wondered .

At no more than a guess they would have had some different versions of songs and wanted to make the single slightly different so they used this version. I suppose when you are a fan or a collector then you would like to see the single being different so you don't feel you are buying the exact same thing when buying the single when you already have the album.

This was evident in the recent 'Best Of Bryan Ferry' where several of the songs used the original single versions were used. A Hard Rains USA single, Slave To Love & Don't Stop The Dance were all the original single versions and appeared on CD for the first time on that album.

Probably ! I noticed Dance Away was changed sklightly as well and the sax was removed in parts.
