I'm surprised nobody mentioned Roisin Murphy's cover of 'Slave to love' yet. It think it's great: it was made for an advert, but she really turned it around made it her own.

Roisin/Moloko seems to have a weak spot for Ferry/Roxy Music, which also shows from this video for 'Pure Pleasure Seeker'.

Guust- you are so right! She and moloko are believers. Her STL was very good. She is also rather cool.

The whimpering Bob Harris part is taken from Roxy's second appearance on the OGWT when they performed "Do the Strand" and "In every dream home", cleverly altered to make it look as if he says Moloko (who?).
It just shows you what that idiot knew, no wonder he stuck to country and soft c**k anthems. 8-)

Cher Guust,
Thanks for posting this — interesting arrangement and nice vocal but that tecno beat just isn't my bag.
Thus fare, the winning contributor to this thread has to be Roxysiren for recommending Willy de Ville's STL. I just can't get it out of my head. It has a fabulous piano riff. If any of you decadent hipsters out there haven't given it a spin yet — go to it!
Regards,
Windswept
