Was listening this morning to my, and London's favourite radio station, "Magic", and "All Of My Heart" by the above was played Hadn't heard it for years and it reminded me how good an album "Lexicon Of Love" was. I really liked ABC, and Martin Fry. I remember at the time, the music press referring to them as "a poor man's Roxy Music" and Fry, as wearing Bryan's discarded Tux! A bit unfair? I have always thought the period 1982-1985 as my favourite music period outwith the seventies. The bands, Japan, Human League, OMD, The Duranies, and many of their contemporaries, (OMG!, not OMD, as I write this, Hungry like the wolf just came on! Spooky) Truly great period for music, some great disco classics as well. 12" versions of "Body Talk" , "Just An Illussion". Phew! I bought "Dare" the same day as "Lexicon". Favourite 12"s were "Love Action/Hard Times", "Tainted Love/Baby Baby", "Life In Tokyo", to mention but a few. Thoughts?
