Chris Stainton
Chris Stainton played hammond Organ on Bryan Ferry's version of Just One Look on his Taxi album in 1993 and also Are You Lonesome Tonight? from the same sessions.
He was born in Sheffield, and started music life as a pianist in Dave Berry's Cruisers. After a while he became the musical partner of Joe Cocker and composed 'Marjorine'.
He is the only a original member of the Grease Band. In the 70's He joined Mad Dogs & Englishmen, Joe Cocker & the Chris Stainton Band, Bryn Haworth Band, Charge, Tundra, Boxer, Maddy Prior Band and Rocks. The end of 70's he joined Eric Clapton's All English Band.
He has also played with Eric Clapton, Marianne Faithfull & Gary Brooker among others.
