A truly game Roxy Girl, Marilyn Cole escaped from her £12 per week job in a Portsmouth co-op coal yard to become the wife of Playboy executive Victor Lownes, and 1973's Playmate of the Year. When her full-frontal photos, the first of their kind, were published in Playboy, Cole is said to have been extremely concerned about her father's reaction. She needn't have worried.
