.Arabella was born in Rome, she left Italy to settle in England, and she has been a landscape designer for the past thirty years. She has undertaken many commissions, ranging from small town gardens to large historical country landscapes. Amongst the gardens she has designed there are a National Trust garden, a large Roof Garden in the city of London, and overseas projects in France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Barbados, Canada and the USA. She has also designed 4 Gold Medal winning gardens for the Chelsea Flower Show, including a Best Garden Award in 1998.
She served on the Board of Trustees of the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew for 9 years, she is a member of the Historic Parks and Gardens Panel of English Heritage, on the Bedgebury Pinetum Consultative Panel, a Trustee of Castle Howard Arboretum Trust, a Patron of both Painshill Park Trust and the Martin McLaren Horticultural Scholarship, she is also a corporation board member of Myerscough College. She has written the books 'Traditional English Gardens' and 'Private Gardens of London' and has lectured on her work in the UK and overseas.
