Grey Lagoons was one of the first songs Bryan Ferry wrote. The song was part of the demo tape that Bryan did with an early line up of Roxy Music in 1971. The song was overlooked for the first album and was eventually completed for the 'For Your Pleasure' album. The song was referred to as The Bogus Man (part 2) for the BBC sessions as the album hadn't been released at this point and therefore the song was untitled at that point.
