Lyrics to Is Your Love Strong Enough?
Lyrics to the song Is Your Love Strong Enough? as recorded by Bryan Ferry.
(Ferry)
Just one step at a time
And closer to destiny
I knew at a glance
There'd always be a chance for me
With someone I could live for
There's nowhere I would rather be
Is your love strong enough?
Like a rock in the sea
Am I asking too much?
Is your love strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
And stranger than fantasy
I knew from the start
It had to be the place for me
Someone that I would die for
There's no way I could ever leave
Is your love strong enough?
Like a rock in the sea
Am I asking too much?
Is your love strong enough?
Is Your Love Strong Enough?

Words & Music By Bryan Ferry
This song was written for the USA soundtrack to the Ridley Scott film 'Legend' in 1986. The song (with the working title of circles) was left over from the Avalon period and Bryan finished it off in a 6 week period when he was commisioned to do something for the soundtrack.
A single was released with an instrumental version of Windswept as the b-side. A full version was included on the 12" version. The song first appeared on CD on the E'G records 21st anniversary various artists CD in 1989 and it was also used on the compilation album More Than This and the Ballads compilation Slave To Love. The full version can be found on the CD single Dance With Light (The Brilliant Light)
The video directed by Tim Pope, entwined footage from the Legand movie with Bryan on the set of the movie and also featured Pink Floyd Guitarist Dave Gilmour.
The single peaked in the UK charts at number 22 in April 1986.
